The treatment offers parasite defense by effectively controlling a wide range of external koi parasites, promotes crystal-clear water by breaking down organic debris to enhance pond clarity and quality, and provides disinfectant strength to sanitize water and equipment to curb disease spread. Its precise dosing ensures accurate, no-fuss application with the liquid concentrate, and it boasts broad compatibility, working in various water conditions above 50°F. To use, add 1 fl. oz. of Purple Magic per 375 gallons of pond water to achieve a 2 ppm concentration, maintaining the purple water color for 4 hours and adding 0.5 fl. oz. per 375 gallons if the color fades early. Neutralize with hydrogen peroxide (1 mL of 3% solution per 10 gallons) after treatment or if fish show distress, such as gasping. For equipment disinfection, mix 5 mL per gallon of water, soak for 10 minutes, and rinse well. Before treating, perform a 20% water change, bypass biofilters, and turn off UV sterilizers. Ensure strong aeration, especially above 65°F, as Purple Magic lowers dissolved oxygen. Treat every other day for up to three applications, monitoring koi closely, and avoid use with salt above 0.1% or other medications.

Caution, this product is for ornamental koi ponds only and not for fish intended for human consumption. Wear gloves and goggles when handling to prevent skin or eye irritation, as overdosing can harm fish, so verify pond volume carefully. It is not suitable for ponds with sturgeon or low carbonate hardness (KH < 6 dKH). Neutralize immediately if fish appear stressed, and store in a cool, dark place between 40°F and 80°F, keeping it out of reach of children. As a warning, potassium permanganate is a strong oxidizer, so avoid contact with organic materials or metals, as it may cause damage.
